She is dancing!

She is dancing! is an improvised performance drawn from my doctoral research, using the fragment of text “she is dancing” as both an anchor and provocation. In this work, movement unfolds from the certainty contained in that phrase, the undeniable fact of dancing, and the parallel certainty of my queer feminine identity. Through embodied improvisation, She is dancing! traces the ways knowing, becoming, and being witnessed are held in the body, inviting audiences into a live exploration of presence, visibility, and unapologetic self-definition.
